Named for our founder

A ground in memory of S. V. Mir Ahmed Ali

The ground carries the name of the Trust’s founder. It was inaugurated with respect and prayers in his memory: Surah Al-Fatiha was recited for him, followed by Ziyarat-e-Waresa, before the first ball was bowled.

It was opened as a ground dedicated to cricket, unity and sportsmanship among the youth, and that is how it is used today.

Good to know

Ground rules

  • 01Booking is confirmed only when the full ground rent and security deposit are received.
  • 02Ground rent is non-refundable. The deposit is refunded after deducting any damages, violations or dues.
  • 03If rain or a wet ground affects play, the booking moves to the next available date. No refund is given.
  • 04Smoking, alcohol, gambling and banned substances are strictly prohibited.
  • 05Loudspeakers, music, banners and stalls need prior permission.
  • 06Teams are responsible for the conduct and safety of their players and spectators, and for leaving the ground clean.
  • 07Visitors may use only the ground and its facilities. The school and Home for Children areas on campus are out of bounds.
All 21 terms and conditions
  1. Booking is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment of ground rent and security deposit.
  2. Ground rent paid is non-refundable.
  3. The security deposit is refunded subject to deduction for damages, violations or dues, if any.
  4. The ground shall be used solely for cricket activities.
  5. The ground shall be used only during the allotted booking period. Any overstay may result in forfeiture of the security deposit and additional charges as determined by the management.
  6. Bookings are non-transferable and may not be assigned or sublet to any other individual or team.
  7. Ground use is permitted only between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM. No extensions are allowed.
  8. Bookings affected by rain or a wet ground may be rescheduled to the next available date, subject to availability. No refund is given.
  9. One change of booking date may be permitted, subject to availability, if requested at least 7 days before the original date. A rescheduling fee of ₹2,000 applies.
  10. The applicant or team is responsible for the conduct, safety and discipline of all players, officials, visitors and spectators, and shall comply with all applicable laws and safety regulations.
  11. Any damage to the ground, pitch, nets, matting, stumps, lighting, washrooms, parking area or other facilities will be recovered from the security deposit or charged additionally.
  12. The management is not liable for any injury, accident, loss, damage or theft.
  13. The applicant or team shall dispose of waste properly and restore the ground and facilities to their original condition after use.
  14. Smoking, alcohol, gambling, illegal activities, indecent behaviour and banned substances are strictly prohibited.
  15. Loudspeakers, music systems, DJs, microphones and public announcements are not permitted without prior approval.
  16. Banners, flex boards, advertisements, stalls or fixtures require prior permission.
  17. The management may suspend or cancel a booking for rule violations, misconduct, property damage, safety concerns or law and order issues.
  18. Vehicles and personal belongings are kept at the owner’s risk. The management is not liable for any loss, damage, injury, accident or theft.
  19. The management reserves the right to accept, reject or cancel any booking without assigning reasons.
  20. Only cricket stumps are provided unless otherwise approved. All other equipment and arrangements are to be made by the applicant or team.
  21. All disputes are subject to Chennai jurisdiction only.

Frequently asked

Can I book half a day?

Yes. Half-day and full-day slots are available on weekdays and weekends. See the rates above.

What is the cancellation policy?

Ground rent is non-refundable. You may change your date once, at least 7 days before the booking, for a fee of ₹2,000, subject to availability.

What happens if it rains?

If rain or a wet ground affects play, your booking is moved to the next available date. No refund is given.

Do you take corporate bookings?

Yes. Corporate cricket days and tournaments are welcome. Tell us your numbers and any special arrangements when you book.

Can academies book regular slots?

Yes. Academies and coaches can ask us about recurring bookings.
